The maritime provinces are where you find seafood so fresh, pulled from the sea and on your table quicker than you can say “lobster”. We have made it a point to try ’em all. Now that we got our proper instruction on “how to eat a lobster” at the Social Club, we are ready to dive in at Halls Harbour.
On the Bay of Fundy this rustic fishing village offers a perfect meal on a picnic table next to the dock. You can check the tide schedule to enjoy your meal with boats bobbing gently in the water or because of the drastic tide levels, dry docked on the ocean floor. Just like the Hopwell Rocks….the tide here recedes about 12 feet and you can walk the sandy bottom.
We ordered our dark green lobster, Terry named it “Lastly” (who knows why?) and he was given to the lobster master and into the boiling water he went. 27 minutes later out came a bright red lobster, perfectly cooked reach to be devoured.
The sun was shining, a gentle breeze was blowing and the melted butter was perfectly melted. Yummmmmmmmmmm.
