Victoria, a very small village, lies between two of PEI’s larges cities, Charlottetown and Summerside. Charlottetown is the capitol of PEI. Victoria, it turns out, was our favorite city on PEI.
When the Trans-Canadian Highway by passed Victoria, many of the business moved away. Today, a hearty 200 have stayed and we found a treasure trove of beautiful Victorian styled homes and talented artists and their galleries.
Charlottetown is modern, congested and urban. The historic town center is filled with shops and restaurants.
